Choose the route that fits your situation

There are two routes, depending on whether you already live in Qatar or are coming from abroad.

ID FIRST, COMPANY LATER

Get your ID from abroad, then come to Qatar

If you do not have Qatar residence, this route gets your ID first

  • Full support to get your ID
  • Visa issuance and QVC payment
  • Every step, start to finish
  • Basic insurance, until the card is in your hand

Once you have the ID, you can set up the CR (company) in Qatar. This is not a permanent solution: it suits you only if you will sign for the company yourself.

Ask about this route

Extra government fees may apply depending on your business activity. We show the full figure in the consultation.

Prices can vary with Qatar's rules and your activity.

Signatory: settle this at the start

Who signs for the company decides your later costs and hassle.

A passport works, but...

You can set up a company from abroad on a passport. But changing or updating the signatory later costs extra, and without a signature the bank accepts, banking work gets stuck too.

Our advice

  • At least one partner should live in Qatar.
  • They do not need to be a Qatari national. Qatar residence is enough.
  • Their signature is the one the bank and other offices accept.
  • No residence yet? Use the ID-first route above.

Frequently asked questions

Can a foreigner own a company in Qatar?

Yes. But settle the signatory and the bank question at the start, or you may face extra costs and hassle later.

Does the signatory need to be a Qatari national?

No. Someone living in Qatar with residence is enough, as long as their signature is accepted by the bank and other offices.

What is a 10-visa quota?

It is the limit of visas your company may issue, up to 10 people. It does not mean you must take all 10 visas straight away.

What does "ID first, then Qatar" mean?

If you do not yet have Qatar residence, you get your ID first and then set up the company (CR) in Qatar. It suits only the case where you sign yourself, and it is not a permanent solution.

What is included in the package?

Name approval, firm opening through the Single Window, CR, Establishment Card, AOA, Commercial Permit, a 10-visa quota, and everything up to issuing it. QVC payment and basic insurance are not part of the package, and the cost of each visa once issued is your own.

Does the package cover every cost?

It covers the services listed above. Extra government fees for your activity and regular running costs may be separate. We show the full figure in the consultation.
